How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Farming has been in our family for 3 generations. We started as a dairy farm back in the 1960's, but had to get out of the dairy in the 80's due to economic issues. We then started our sweet corn and pumpkin business as just a small card table on our front lawn. In order to remain sustainable, we have grown over the years adding horse rentals, a farm market and entertainment to our farm. Farming is very seasonal so we decided to see how we could grow the business during the rest of the year, so we added our Event and Wedding Barn. We love that families get to enjoy our farm more months out of the year.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our farm's diversification sets us apart from other farms with the seasonal Market, Events, Equine facility, Fall Fest and more. During spring and summer, you may see tractors and workers harvesting or working in the fields. Our Farm Market has more to offer than veggies with jams, pickled items, sauces, pies, dairy, grass-fed beef, cheeses and more. Our goal is to provide a year-round farm experience and be your family tradition.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
There is currently only the main farm. There has been many additions/improvements on our farm over the past few years. Darren Carleton (3rd generation) returned to the farm in 2010 and is expanding the business so that it will continue to be a sustainable, family farm. It is an exciting time for our farm and hope you all will love the upcoming changes as well.

From I-5, take Hwy 2 exit. Get into left lane and take Hwy 204 exit towards Lake Stevens. After coming off ramp, immediately get into left lane. In about 500 feet take 1st left onto Sunnyside Blvd. Our farm is about 1 mile on left. There are 2 entrances to our farm, 1st one is the horse boarding and the 2nd entrance is Events/Market.

Our staff is known for their continued friendly, excellent customer service. We love seeing families at the farm and want them to have that "farm experience" and have lots of FUN! We focus a Fun environment for our staff and feel that if they are having fun, then it will personify to our customers.
